Ocean Lab

Sea Trust runs the “Sea Here” exhibits and “Yellow Submarine” out of classroom learning facilities in the Ocean Lab, Fishguard Harbour. When not in use as a workshop by local schools and colleges, the public can watch video’s about local marine wildlife in the Yellow submarine. A large two metre tank holds a variety of fish and crustaceans sourced from the nearby harbour. These specimens are regularly exchanged /returned to the sea and have included giant Lobsters, Spider Crabs and Octopus.

We have recently worked hard to build on the original “Sea Here”  exhibit adding several more tanks and making the whole exhibition bigger and a source of income to help with running costs of the building through donations from the public. A big thank you goes to Russ Ginny and Mike of “Silent World” who poured a huge amount of time, experience, effort and goodwill into the sourcing of tanks, specimens and building the exhibit which is now up and running and delighting locals and visitors! Thank you also to Conygar for their considerable help in securing the future of the Ocean Lab.
